This role is designed to support the Education Excellence team across a range of the Directorate's strategic initiatives, to drive exceptional Catholic education in the region.
This role would suit a Principal or long-term school leader in another capacity.
The Education Excellence team is focused on driving the overall high performance of schools and improved outcomes for students in the relevant region.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Directly lead the Principals to achieve their personal performance objectives, and the goals of the overall school Seek and leverage insights, learnings and innovative practices across regional borders in order to drive exceptional performance and continuous improvement across all MACS schools Ensure schools are able to meet the implementation requirements of government and MACS initiatives, providing advice, information and acting as a resource to achieve strategic objectives Work with school leadership to respond to and effectively manage community concerns regarding school performance, school operations and other issues Support professional development programs, networks and clusters to build leadership capability and enable continuous school improvement in Catholic schools Liaise closely with and promptly advise the General Manager, Region on the development and progress of strategic imperatives to address educational needs, promote continuous school improvement and enhance Principal wellbeing ABOUT YOU You are a proven, successful leader of leaders authentic and inclusive in your approach and have proven results in motivating and engaging employees to achieve their objectives You have evidence of successfully leading a project which has improved student learning outcomes in an educational context You can demonstrate knowledge of key MACS strategies and initiatives and an ability to develop strategic implementation within a school context Ability to effectively liaise, consult and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders (from various backgrounds) and build positive relationships in an environment of constant change and challenging environmental factors Ability to critically analyse and interpret data and synthesise practical recommendations leading to successful outcomes HOW TO APPLY Please refer to the position description for further details about the role and the Key Selection Criteria.
An ability to work across both primary and secondary environments, whilst not essential, would be advantageous.

The successful candidate must hold or acquire, and maintain a Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and/or Working with Children Check, and must be willing to obtain and maintain a National Criminal History Check.
Candidates must hold full Australian Working Rights, and provide evidence of this.
