This newly created role will sit within the Optimisation team and will contribute to meaningful change by driving efficiency and improvement across the enterprise. About the role As the Senior Manager Road Performance Optimisation, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Performance Optimisation, the broader optimisation function and leadership to drive performance enhancements. You will identify opportunities and lead, manage, and facilitate initiatives that are part of major strategic and commercial initiatives for the ROAD function. This includes project management, stakeholder management, and implementation. As Transurban continues to expand in scale and complexity, ensuring our performance remains at peak levels in terms of safety, productivity, and efficiency is paramount. This role is ideal for a dynamic, forward-thinking leader who is ready to make a significant impact on the future of Transurban and the industry. Day-to-day, you will: Conduct thorough analyses to pinpoint areas for revenue maximisation, cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and process efficiencies. Engage with senior stakeholders to discuss and evaluate the feasibility and viability of identified optimisation opportunities. Maintain and improve a repository of optimisation opportunities as well as designing, delivering, and evaluating optimisation programs. Provide expertise in commercial evaluation for feasibility and viability assessments. Support the Head of ROAD Performance Optimisation in strategic planning for the ROAD function and reviewing team operating rhythms and ways of working to enhance communication and team cohesion. Foster a high-performing team culture by encouraging continuous learning, maintaining knowledge archives, and ensuring adherence to Transurban's Code of Conduct. This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including: Demonstrated track record in developing, managing, and implementing transformation programs to identify and realise improve efficiency opportunities in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Proven ability to build credibility and trust with internal and external stakeholders. Advanced analytical and synthesis skills with ability to communicate both in written and verbal form to senior stakeholders. Proven ability to independently deliver programs/streams of work, planning and executing effectively. Strong understanding of finance and commercial considerations.
