All while staying committed to our member first ethos as a proud Industry Fund.About the RoleAs Senior Manager, Risk Controls and Assurance, you'll lead the development and implementation of risk controls and assurance programs across the organisation. Working closely with executives, senior leaders, and key stakeholders, you'll uplift capability, improve governance processes, and ensure that risk management practices align with our strategic goals. As the assurance and controls subject matter expert, you'll provide guidance to enhance the design and effectiveness of controls and empower teams to embed these into their everyday operations. A critical part of your role will be overseeing the delivery of assurance programs, including managing relationships with our co-sourced internal audit team, identifying areas for improvement, and providing actionable insights that drive meaningful change. You'll foster a collaborative and forward-thinking culture, ensuring our risk management practices remain robust, dynamic, and aligned with industry best practices.About YouYou are an experienced professional with over 10 years in audit, assurance, or enterprise risk management, preferably within the financial services sector or an APRA-regulated environment. With a detailed understanding of risk and control frameworks, you're great at turning insights into practical improvements that support organisational goals. Your communication and stakeholder engagement skills allow you to build trust and credibility at all levels, from senior executives to business units. You're a natural leader who thrives on coaching and developing high-performing teams while fostering collaboration and innovation. Your ability to manage complex programs, align them with strategic objectives, and deliver results sets you apart. Experience in the superannuation industry, knowledge of APRA's prudential framework, and a strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance systems will be highly regarded.
