Regional and Agribusiness Banking (RAB) provides a comprehensive range of services to over 18,000 relationships located in Regional and Rural Australia.
Do work that matters: This Senior Manager, Risk and Control Advisory and Delivery role provides leadership across Non-Financial Risk within the RAB portfolio. This is a critical role to ensure RAB meets its key risk framework obligations, whilst also ensuring clear risk processes for our people, better customer outcomes, and alignment with community expectations.
Key responsibilities include: Providing Non-Financial Risk advisory support to the RAB EGM and RAB Extended Leadership Team.Coordinating and presenting National Non-Financial Risk Committee meetings.Executing on key risk projects and complex issues requiring the engagement/coordination of various Group stakeholders.Working closely with Line 2 teams, internal and external auditors, product and operations support partners to uplift the RAB risk and control environment and execute on key change initiatives.Leading the RAB Non-Financial Risk team and proactively identifying opportunities to simplify processes and strengthen risk foundations.We're interested in hearing from people with: Experience in either Credit Risk and/or Operational and Compliance Risk management.Sound to advance knowledge and experience in Operational Risk and Compliance Management Frameworks; ability to analyse/identify risks and recommend appropriate actions; and knowledge of the regulatory environment.Background in Commercial Banking and Finance with demonstrated experience in implementing initiatives that uplift risk management.Effective stakeholder management skills, with the capability to present to and influence senior stakeholders.Leadership and/or project management experience would be advantageous.This role is uniquely positioned to provide the successful candidate great exposure to senior leaders across the Group, with the ability to create a meaningful impact across the RAB portfolio.
