The purpose of the Senior Manager, Risk Advisory, is to be a trusted advisor to CIB key stakeholders across the operational risk activities set out in the Westpac Group Risk Management framework. You will drive the design and execution of risk management activities including design and implementation of controls strategy, bringing the risk management practices across Incident and Issue management and Customer Remediation, advising the business across Risk Management framework to uplift risk culture Operational Risk Frameworks. You will deliver effective risk practices to uplift risk culture and performance to help the business identify risks and establish risk capability maturity. You will support the implementation of a consistent approach to the identification, assessment and management of risks through design and ongoing monitoring of risk and controls and facilitate effective risk assessment workshops and root causes analysis with the business to ensure risks and controls are appropriately profiled and captured.
Other key responsibilities will include: Overseeing the issues and incidents root causes and corrective action plans and monitor the rectification plans.Developing plans to drive ongoing continuous improvement in the business control environment.Monitoring the ongoing testing of the Control Environment performance and impacts to CIB Risk Profile.Co-ordinating the SOX and ongoing attestation schedule and as requested relevant Attestations.Preparing and executing key insights of the operational risk management framework to support the preparation of the papers for LOB, Division, Group and Board risk committees.Supporting Risk Governance and reporting Secretariat to Operational Risk thematic.Driving continuous improvement in the governance function to ensure effective oversight of risk management across the CIB LOB.Supporting regulatory reporting and execute changes as a result of policy and framework changes.Coaching and supporting the business to build greater risk awareness and capability through the reporting and insights/trends.What do I need?
To be successful in this role you will have proven control design experience, with strong influencing and experience in leading change in risk transformation. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated experience in risk advisory or consulting. You will ideally have up to 10 years' experience at a large corporate or professional services company in financial services risk/management.
