The OrganisationYouth Off The Streets (YOTS) is a not-for-profit youth services organisation that supports children and young people aged 12–24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and complex disadvantage. YOTS walks alongside them, their families and communities to create safety and provide meaningful opportunities to build a positive future.
Since being founded by Father Chris Riley over 30 years ago, YOTS has grown from a single food van to an organisation that provides holistic support services for children and young people in NSW and QLD. These include crisis accommodation and housing services, independent high schools, cultural and wellbeing support for First Nations young people, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice support, training and employment programs, life skills workshops and drop-in centres, among other services.
Today YOTS employs 200 staff, supported by hundreds of volunteers, with an annual turnover of $30M and growing. With a new five-year strategy that focuses on growth and impact, this is a great time to join the team and influence future positive outcomes for young people.

The RoleIn this newly created role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will deliver the roadmap for the impact measurement strategy and connected initiatives of the YOTS five-year strategy for research, evaluation, and impact.
With a focus on enhancing organisational capability and promoting a culture that values research, evidence, data collection and evaluation, you will embed policies, protocols and practices across YOTS, drive evidence informed practice, and contribute to YOTS' policy and advocacy approach through the production of research, evaluation and insight reports.
Other responsibilities include:
Upskilling and working with service/program owners to implement plans for impact measurement Building relationships and collaboration opportunities with universities, sector advocacy groups and other service organisations Oversight of theories of change and program logic development for YOTS programs and services Establishing and ensuring best practice governance, and ethical and culturally appropriate research, evaluation and reporting frameworks
Skills RequiredYou're a strategic and influential leader with experience in research, measurement and evaluation methodologies formed within human services, healthcare or a related field, ideally with a focus in child, youth and family services.
With proven ability to translate strategy into action, together with a hands-on and practical approach, you're skilled at collaborating with and engaging a range of stakeholders in your vision. Additionally, you bring understanding of the ethics around data collection and experience in:
Data analysis to measure and report on performance metrics and organisational insights, and inform better practices Implementing impact management strategies and conducting high quality research to demonstrate impact Communicating complex information, including evaluation findings, for diverse audiences Continuous improvement and change leadership management You will possess tertiary qualifications in social or behavioural sciences or evaluation or a similar relevant discipline, and ideally understand the policy context and challenges supporting children and young people with trauma and complex needs.
