We are seeking a Senior Manager Property Services to lead and manage the state-wide Property Services department for our Enterprise Services division at Ambulance Victoria. This is a full-time, ongoing position. While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at our Blackburn headquarters in line with our hybrid working model.
About the role Reporting to the Executive Director Enterprise Services, this position will oversee, lead and manage the state-wide Property Services Department at Ambulance Victoria, including setting strategic direction in annual and longer-term planning cycles and contributing to the broader corporate objectives via the Enterprise Services leadership team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide leadership and authoritative direction and advice to support AV's extensive property portfolio, providing expertise on property matters including legislative and regulatory compliance obligations, commercial leasing proposals, property asset management and project & commercial risks.Drive the delivery of AV's Property Portfolio, working closely with the Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA), by identifying, securing and maintaining strategically located properties to optimise response time performance and ensure that the organisation is provided with suitable accommodation for staff.Oversee project management relating to the selection, development & implementation of new properties in line with AV's Property Development Policy.Manage the Property Services operating and capital budget including regular forecasting and cost containment initiatives.Lead effective strategic, tactical and risk-focused management of property projects through effective due diligence and ongoing project governance, ensuring informed decision-making accounts for factors including value, time, market, opportunity and risk, government policy and environmental & community impact.Lead and oversee the effective management of AV's Property Services department and related program of work by providing strong leadership and fostering a culture of professional development and continuous improvement.About you To be considered for this position you will have a postgraduate degree or industry specialised certification in a Business or Property/Commercial Building related discipline with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and extensive relevant experience. Additional requirements include but are not limited to:
Experience in managing complex construction programs and a broadly dispersed multi-site portfolio (highly desirable).Extensive experience leading large-scale and complex property and commercial building projects and delivering them within time, budget and resource constraints and sustaining outcomes.Significant experience leading and managing teams, including promoting personal development and succession planning.Highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to effectively communicate authoritative advice and recommendations to various audiences, together with the ability to develop and build strong and effective relationships with key external stakeholders.Demonstrated high level strategic thinking, conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.Working at Ambulance Victoria As a valued member of AV you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.
