Our group office has a vacancy for Senior Manager, Projects. Reporting to the General Manager for Strategy, Development and Projects, and with direct reports in Project Governance and Project Services, this is a key and influential leadership position. With our demonstrable history of achievement in the delivery of large-scale mining projects, including Dugald River and Las Bambas, you'll be part of a global resources company that thinks big and delivers results.
The primary purpose of the role is to lead the function that builds, implements and governs the frameworks and controls across our scoping, feasibility, development and operational projects. As an experienced project practitioner, you will play a key role, working with your team to guide and support our site teams to deliver large-scale programs of work. The function also manages Independent Project Reviews, Project Health Assessments, Post Investment Reviews, and provides key input into our Capital Planning Process. In addition to this, you will also provide measured recommendations to support our M&A due diligence work and to develop our Izok Corridor deposit.
This is a rare opportunity for a thought leader with the agility to operate across due diligence, scoping, feasibility, construction and operational mining projects. To be considered, applicants must have extensive project management experience in the resources industry, working across the full project lifecycle. A deep understanding of the governance frameworks, opportunities and challenges faced in the delivery of large-scale and capital-intensive mining projects in a global context is essential.
This position is preferably located in Melbourne; however, we may consider the alternative locations of Adelaide or Brisbane. Please note that the role will involve domestic and international travel to our operations and support offices.
