Job Description The Senior Manager, Project Management is responsible for managing the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the region's specific cross-functional projects ensuring consistency with Americold's strategic goals, operational commitments and the company core values.
Key Responsibilities:
Taking the lead on planning and implementation of multiple cross-functional projects with focus on ERP system development, process enhancements and facility expansions; Optimise the utilization of resources, equipment, and technology, in order to deliver agreed project deliverables against the plan, minimising and controlling costs; Manage commercial business cases, project budgets and costs; Monitor and continually review project timelines to ensure key milestones are met; Develop and implement robust project reporting tools and metrics; Communicate with key stakeholders on project deliverables; Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs; Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times by all employees, contractors and visitors involved in projects; Create project evaluations and assessment of results; Elevate the organization's PM skillset and maturity; Perform other duties as needed or as assigned.
Experience and Education Required:
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience working in a matrix and geographically dispersed team environment.
Advanced computer skills including MS Project, MS Visio.
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Project Management.
Knowledge of Project Management techniques and tools with certification desirable.
Direct Project Management work experience in dynamic commercial environments.
Strong people management skills.
Proven experience in Change Management.
Extraordinary experience in stakeholder engagement and generating buy-in.
Proven experience in strategic planning.
Proven experience in Risk Management.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
Knowledge of distribution and transport operations would be a distinct advantage.
