The Opportunity As the Senior Manager Product Management, you will report directly to the Head of Transformation and will lead the discovery process to identify new product opportunities and leverage LEAN principles to rapidly determine feasibility and market fit. Additionally, with prior experience in running a product practice, you will oversee the end-to-end life cycle of products, from minimum viable product to retirement from market, coupled with building a best-in-class product management practice.

Key Accountabilities:
Provide clear direction, purpose and context to your team, setting clear targets with agreed deliverables and timeframes.Responsibility for managing the definition, development, and delivery of significant products within a practice and engineering program.Lead all aspects of a life cycle of a group of products, including long- and short-term development.Regularly assess performance of and provide feedback to direct reports through one-on-one discussions.Lead development of new innovations or support the business in new product and service initiatives.Manage product lines by analysis of customer and market trends, monitoring financial results, and optimising use of resources.Lead the Agile team for software releases for business-critical programs as they are produced to deliver the planned benefits in the program.Key Skills and Abilities:
Tertiary qualification in Technology Management, Science, Project Management, Information Services or equivalent discipline (mandatory).High level people management and leadership skills in running a product management practice.Project business acumen at an advanced level to develop and apply an entrepreneurial spirit to run a project and program within business operation parameters.Strong project management skills to make sense of complex, high quality and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.Experience in consistently achieving results and with an understanding of digital channels and product cycles.Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of transformation, product and information services individuals (professional, technical and administrative staff).Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
