A Day in the Life The role of the Senior Manager, Pricing & Contracting is centered around leading Strategic Pricing and Tenders & Contract teams for the Australia and New Zealand region.
We partner with all Operating Units and the Enterprise Accounts team across various aspects of the business, ranging from determining the strategy for new product launches to managing tenders and contract lifecycles, down to more tactical and operational aspects of getting the daily work done.
The role is highly visible to senior leaders in ANZ through partnership on price uplift initiatives and leadership/contribution to cross-functional programs, aiming at enhancing customer experience, driving technology upgrades, and improving our processes.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Lead and develop the team of 11 employees Manage 4 direct reports – a Manager of Tenders & Contracts and 3 Strategic Pricing Analysts Plan & help to prioritize work for team members Represent Global Pricing & Contracting function with local business leaders in ANZ Translate global goals, objectives, and priorities into local implementation plans Identify price uplift opportunities and partner with business stakeholders on execution Provide input to price decisions for key tenders & contracts Implementation and monitoring of local pricing, contracting, and tender governance & policies Partner with broader Pricing & Contracting organization (e.g., shifting operational tasks to COEs, adoption of analytics, support to IBP/forecasting process, system/technology upgrades etc.) Lead local periodic business reviews & manage escalations from local stakeholders Learn & share best practices with other regional teams Lead or participate in cross-functional process improvement programs Required Knowledge and Experience: Must Haves: Bachelor's degree required Nice to Have: Bachelor's / college degree is required; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 3+ years of managerial experience Strong commercial acumen; preferred industry experience in med-tech or pharma Ability to manage complexity & effectively prioritize Excellent communication skills Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with customers and employees across different levels of the organization Analytical skills; advanced Excel; comfortable using Power BI/Tableau Experience with pricing software; Vendavo/SAP preferred Our Offer: In our 5th Tenet of our Mission, we recognize the personal worth of employees by providing an employment framework that allows personal satisfaction in work accomplished, security, advancement opportunity, and means to share in the company's success.
