In this pivotal leadership position, you will drive business impact and help shape the future of our cities and communities. About the role As the Senior Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Performance Optimisation and cross-functional leaders to drive material, sustainable performance enhancements across Transurban. You will take ownership of strategic and transformational projects to increase financial performance, build social license, reduce risk, and implement other improvements. This role is ideal for a dynamic, forward-thinking leader with highly developed influencing skills and comfort working directly with senior and executive-level stakeholders. Day-to-day, you will: Lead cross-functional strategic projectsApply your management consulting toolkit to solve complex business problemsAuthor and present compelling business cases and executive communications – typically in MS PowerPointConduct thorough and insightful analyses to identify improvement opportunities, or coach junior team members to complete analysisDevelop robust, 'trusted advisor' relationships with senior leadersMaintain and improve a pipeline of optimisation opportunitiesFoster a high-performing team culture by encouraging continuous learning, maintaining tools, templates and other collateral, and ensuring adherence to Transurban's Code of Conduct This role suits someone with: Recent experience in a top-tier strategy firm or boutique consultancy, or in a similar corporate environmentA proven track record managing and implementing transformation programs in complex stakeholder environmentsThe ability to quickly build credibility and trust with stakeholdersComfort working directly with senior leaders on high-stakes projectsStrong financial literacy and commercial acumenRelevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Business Management, or LawExperience working in heavy industry such as transport, utilities, or resources is highly regarded If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
