The Opportunity You will lead and develop the performance portfolio at an operational and strategic level across sport at UWA. This includes leadership and oversight of required planning, project and program management, budget establishment and achievement, and team-focused people support for the areas within the portfolio.
At UWA Sport, the performance portfolio currently includes the Student Athlete Development Program, club engagement and development, Team Maali (our representative teams), scholarships and awards, and performance sport programs and services.
This role, as part of our Senior Management team, works within our dynamic, collaborative structure ensuring everyone across the organisation is supported and included.

About You You bring comprehensive planning and management skills and are a confident leader of people. With well-developed communication skills, you build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Your experience in sports team management is complemented by a deep understanding of the sports industry at all levels. You have a proven track record of fostering a positive culture in performance environments, with an understanding of what performance sport is and can be in a University context.
Additionally, you're passionate about managing club relationships, overseeing event operations, supporting athlete development, and delivering programs within budget. You're energised by a role that combines hands-on operations with collaborative work to maximise future strategic opportunities.
