Role Summary: As Senior Manager, Operations, you will hold a critical role in facilitating efficient operations and operations coordination within the division, including, but not limited to, strategic planning, operational setup, procurement, contracting, profit and loss management, and strategic alliances within the business and external stakeholders. You will work closely with various projects to ensure seamless execution of operations and contribute to the overall success of DSV.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with the teams to understand project goals, operational requirements, and unique challenges. Remain the key liaison between the operations teams and projects. Develop and execute strategic plans for operations, aligning with the overall program objectives and project-specific goals. Drive initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, resource allocation, and project timelines. Plan and oversee the ramp-up of operations for different projects within the program. Establish effective operational processes, workflows, and procedures to support operational execution. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and efficient procurement of required resources and equipment. Manage and negotiate contracts where required, vendor relationships, and supplier agreements to secure favorable terms. Monitor budgets, expenses, and financial performance to ensure adherence to financial targets. Create month-end P&L reporting displaying monthly business overview. Implement cost-saving measures and optimize resource allocation to maximize project profitability. Foster effective communication and collaboration among the operations team and project teams. Ensure alignment of operations with other functions such as logistics, supply chain, and finance. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project and operational performance. Regularly monitor KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Identify potential risks and challenges within project operations and develop mitigation strategies. Educational Qualifications & Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related field. At least 10 years in a management role, with experience in engaging with project leadership. Strong understanding of operations and project management principles, operational planning, team management, budgeting, and procurement strategies. Competencies: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and drive cross-functional teams. Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and a focus on continuous improvement. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.). Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
