Senior Manager, Operational Risk

Compliance & Risk (Banking & Financial Services)We are looking for an experienced risk professional to join a large financial services business.

You will be working in a hands-on environment and be involved in the upliftment of the operational risk maturity.
You will assist in designing, embedding and enhancement of the operational risk framework, providing risk advisory support, oversight and challenge to Line 1 and business risk owners.

Reporting to the Head of Operational Risk, some of your responsibilities will include:Developing, implementing, and maintaining the operational risk management frameworkServing as a subject matter expert (SME) on risk related matters, providing advice to internal stakeholders in the identification, assessment, and management of key risk across the business unitsServing as a SME for the implementation of CPS230 Operational Risk ManagementSupporting the identification and communication of the company's risk appetite and tolerance levelsPreparing and delivering operational risk education and awareness to uplift risk maturityDeveloping and maintaining key relationships throughout the business as necessary, ensuring open and effective risk communicationsCoordinating the review and maintenance of business continuity plansThe ideal candidate will have:Circa 8+ years operational risk experience including Line 2 risk advisory, oversight and challenge, framework development and implementation, policies and proceduresFinancial services background or consultancy experience with financials services clientsPragmatic and hands-on approach, self-starter and drivenExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage with and influence stakeholders at all levelsThis is an organisation going through significant growth and change.
