About the RoleAs a Senior Manager - Operational Risk & Compliance in our Institutional Risk & Compliance Team, you'll play a key role in providing independent operational risk and compliance oversight and advice over Institutional Division's implementation of the I.AM Amplified Program.
This requires working in close liaison and forming strong relationships with Institutional Risk Officers across all Business Units and Countries to uplift capability across NFR Framework, Reporting and Systems.
The role also supports Country Risk Theme Officers (CRTOs) to embed their role in BAU as part of the NFR Operating Model.
The I.AM Amplified Program is an ANZ wide initiative that aims to uplift processes, systems and data related to Non-Financial Risk (NFR) and compliance with our obligations.
I.AM Amplified is a high priority project with significant regulatory focus.
This is a key role in providing independent operational risk and compliance oversight and advice over Institutional Division's implementation of the I.AM Amplified Program.
This requires working in close liaison and forming strong relationships with Institutional Risk Officers and Country Risk Theme Officers across all Business Units and Countries to uplift capability across NFR Framework, Reporting and Systems.
This role will also work closely with other team members as the Institutional Division accelerates work on 'embed phase' to achieve target end state.

Role Type: Fixed-Term (6 months), Full-Time Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008 Work Hours: 40 hours/week What will your day look like?This role is accountable for:
Supporting the delivery of a Line 2 Review & Challenge Program for the implementation of I.AM Amplified across the Division.
Relevant activities include:Designing and shaping an effective Review & Challenge Program for I.AM Amplified, working with Institutional Operational Risk & Compliance LT and aligning with Enterprise Line 2 expectations and standards.Liaising with Institutional Risk Officers to provide further information on Line 2's Amplified Review & Challenge Program, general communication from the I.AM Amplified Program, answering queries and ongoing support.Identifying and using data to enable clear articulation of insights and opinions on Adoption activities across the Division to ensure quality standards are met and identify opportunities for improvement.Communication and education of NFR Framework, Reporting and System requirements across Institutional Line 2 Risk Officers and Country Risk Theme Officers through training, comms and ongoing support to ensure the successful embedding of the NFR Operating Model.Advisory on framework, system and reporting evolution working with Divisions/Enterprise for continuous improvement and simplification.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Extensive experience in Non-Financial Risk or Audit (or similar experience through Business Governance & Controls, Assurance, Well Managed Roles)Experience with banking products and services, in an Institutional contextKnowledge and ability to use Risk Systems (built on IBM Open Pages, Service Now) and other Risk Toolkits and DashboardsStrong Data analytical skillset – i.e.
ability to synthesise large volumes of data to provide insightsAbility to build strong, open and collaborative working relationships, across an international footprint.An ability to think about complex issues in a strategic manner, considering the broader context and implicationsDesire to work in a collaborative team environment with a values led culture.Curious mindset with a willingness to learn.Proven ability to influence and ability to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional mannerConfidence to own your opinions and challenge in a professional mannerExcellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills, with attention to detailYou're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
