Senior Manager Net-Zero Implementation (B&W ESG) – 55064 Sydney or Melbourne How will I help? Reporting to the 'Executive Manager, Net-Zero Implementation', this role is responsible for supporting the delivery of the division's net-zero implementation plans and Net-Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA) commitment.
This role sits within the Business & Wealth ESG team.
You will support a small team of motivated professionals to operationalise net-zero commitments for Westpac.
Support the development of processes to capture, assess, monitor, and report on portfolio alignment to net-zero targets, in line with our policy and prudential climate obligations.
In addition, you will provide expert advice to the team and the rest of the business on divisional implementation and climate risk matters.
Review and validate portfolio and emissions data as part of divisional and group-level reporting processes.
Support accurate and timely delivery of Financed Emissions in conjunction with Group Finance (ESG Disclosures & Reporting team).
Work collaboratively with divisional peers in Commercial Banking, Business Lending, and Risk, as well as ESG counterparts from other divisions, to collect and prepare data relating to portfolio emissions and climate-related reporting.
Work collaboratively with Group Finance (ESG Disclosures & Reporting) to provide input and review of disclosure content relevant to our division – including supporting assurance processes.
Key Accountabilities: Maintenance and delivery of net-zero implementation plans for NZBA sector targets. Maintain a stable control environment with respect to climate-related policy and prudential obligations (in conjunction with Business Controls and Risk). Financed Emissions reporting (B&W inputs to Group process). NZBA progress reporting (B&W inputs to Group process) – includes maintenance and management of NZBA target models and governance. Quantitative and qualitative inputs for external disclosures (B&W inputs to Group process) – includes development of customer case studies, writing copy, and crafting narratives with the ESG Disclosures team. What do I need? Relevant experience at a similar role level enabling transformation/change within a large complex organisation. Ability to critically analyse technical information and simplify concepts and communicate impacts. Expert working knowledge of Financed Emissions in line with PCAF standard. Experience in transforming and interpreting portfolio emissions data sets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence outcomes across stakeholders. What is it like to work there?
