Senior Manager Mental Health, Alcohol, other Drugs & Suicide Prevention Hervey Bay, Hervey Bay & Fraser Coast QLD Psychology, Counselling & Social Work (Healthcare & Medical) Senior Manager, Mental Health, Alcohol, Other Drugs & Suicide Prevention Location – Hervey Bay or Bundaberg Excellent Salary package on offer Join a diverse team of dedicated people at Country to Coast, QLD (CCQ) and be a part of an exciting new future. With a bold vision to improve health outcomes from Country to Coast, CCQ seeks visionary change makers to join the leadership team.  CCQ delivers the Primary Health Network (PHN) program for Central Queensland, Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast on behalf of the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care. CCQ has an ambitious agenda to be national leaders in the design and delivery of better primary health outcomes for the people in their region. Achieving this will require CCQ as a commissioning organisation to not only focus on primary health service provision but also on the environmental, social and cultural determinants of health which support communities to live their best lives.  CCQ's diverse region covers 161,108 km2 from Sunshine Coast to Rockhampton and west to Emerald. The population in the region is just under 1 million people with around 68% living regionally or remotely and more than 28% living in the most disadvantaged quintile. CCQ collaborates with the community to provide exceptional primary healthcare services to reduce health inequalities for the region. CCQ has seven key priorities for health improvement: mental health, alcohol and other drugs, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, population health, health workforce, digital health and older person's health. About the role This leading organisation seeks a candidate to support the Australian Government's mental health reform agenda by implementing the stepped care approach in the Country to Coast QLD (CCQ) region working from their brand new offices in Hervey Bay (Bundaberg is also available). The position involves shaping the commissioning of services based on evidence-informed best practices, ensuring that CCQ-funded services are person-centred and recovery-focused while addressing wider prevention or management issues impacting the region's psychosocial and clinical demands. The role will involve collaborating with key stakeholders at local, state, and national levels to design and implement various program measures across the footprint, including specialty areas such as social and emotional wellbeing, psychosocial support services, youth mental health, suicide prevention, alcohol and other drugs, and intake, assessment and referral services. The role requires leading and coordinating mental health reform initiatives regionally, collaborating closely with partner agencies, clinicians, and the community. Using credible sources like scientific literature and input from various stakeholders, the candidate will inform program design, evaluation, and resource allocation. They must manage resources effectively and coordinate with partners to transition existing services and introduce new ones. Additionally, they will develop, implement, and assess innovative services to improve mental health reform and streamline care delivery. About you Relevant, related tertiary qualifications are required and candidates would ideally come from a background in Hospital and Health Services, a Primary Health Network or the NGO sector delivering mental health, AOD and suicide prevention services. You will also be comfortable using digital systems, experienced with reporting and delivering presentations to key internal stakeholders and have the availability to travel within the region to attend occasional meetings at the Sunshine Coast or other offices using a company vehicle. Please refer to the position description for additional information. What is offered: An attractive remuneration package, including salary sacrifice packaging, up to $15,900 per year tax free. You can also use up to $2,650 of your pre-tax income to pay for entertainment expenses such as meals and holidays. Flexible work options, including work from home opportunities up to two days per week after a settling in period. 5 weeks of annual leave  Access to an employee assistance program- a free and confidential counselling service available to you. CCQ is a culturally safe place to work and embraces diversity in all its forms.
