Are you ready to take the helm and steer a dynamic team towards operational excellence and unwavering safety standards?
We're seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to join our Government & Defence Division, reporting directly to the President.
Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping our four key product offerings: Contingency and Sustainment, Aviation Services, Healthcare Logistics, and Managed Services.
Leveraging your expertise in aviation or government and defence risk management, you'll be the driving force behind implementing robust safety systems, mitigating risks, and enhancing governance programs.
As an engaging and interactive leader, you'll be a visible presence on-site, inspiring your team of four direct reports to understand our group's risk profile and champion our strategic initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include translating HSSEQ strategic plans into actionable Business Unit HSE Plans, ensuring meticulous compliance with security management systems, and maintaining business accreditation to the highest safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Additionally, you'll spearhead HSSE risk management initiatives, foster a safety-first culture through programs like "Safety Obsessed," and guarantee rigorous adherence to industry standards and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Translate Toll's HSSEQ and Risk Strategic Plans into G&D's HSE Plans, monitoring HSSEQ targets and indicators.
Maintain ISO certifications and oversee security management systems for DISP and other licenses.
Ensure ongoing business accreditation to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Lead HSSE risk management initiatives to mitigate emerging risks, implementing HSSEQ Programs.
Utilize HSSEQ risk management frameworks to minimize critical risks and drive safe practices.
Develop risk profiles and continuity plans, acting as Crisis Management Champion.
Support regulatory compliance, including DISP, SOCI, ITARs, and operational obligations.
Foster HSSEQ culture through leadership, audits, and system implementation, engaging stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills: 8+ years of HSSEQ leadership experience, ideally in government, defence, or aviation sectors.
Comprehensive knowledge of HSSEQ processes, legislative requirements, and standards (ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001).
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
Proven ability to manage complex incident investigations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Relevant Bachelor's degree and desirable certifications such as Chartered HSE Professional or Internal Auditor qualifications.
Personal Attributes: We are looking for a proactive leader with excellent written and verbal communication skills, superior problem-solving capabilities, and a strong customer and stakeholder focus.
Your capacity to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a close-knit team environment will ensure your success in this role.
A relevant Bachelor's degree and Risk experience in Defence or Aviation are desirable.
