With our proven ability to attract and retain top talent, we are looking for a Design Manager to be the spearhead for our Perth operation with a focus on Customer, Employee and User Experience who thrives on challenge and who is hungry to grow in their ability and knowledge.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience leading design teams and possess the ability to strategise with clients while maintaining strong account relationships. You will play a crucial role in guiding our design projects, ensuring client satisfaction, and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment within the team.
Salary: AUD (108571-119893) Annual Gross
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design customer-focused solutions that meet measurable business objectives and be able to continuously evolve these solutions.
Translate business requirements, market research, user needs and models of social behaviour into conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mock-ups, information architecture diagrams, interaction specifications and prototypes.
Gather qualitative and quantitative user feedback and distil it into insights to create valid and optimise customer journeys and IA.
Delivery of Information Architecture, User Journeys, Wireframes, Flexible Design System assets to reflect Brand Styles (In Figma), and complement the mobile applications IA/Journey.
Bring inspiring ideas and motivation into an energetic and collaborative team and be able to lead cross-functional design concept reviews from initial sketches and wireframes and prototypes through final design.
Essential:
A minimum of 4+ years of experience working at a digital agency as an Service Designer / User Experience Designer / Product Designer.
Experience on creating mobile, tablet and web experiences for mid and large sized organisations is a must.
Portfolio of key projects delivered in past years, calling out your role on the project, deliverables responsible and successes achieved.
Proficient in Figma.
Experience creating detailed wireframes, sitemaps, content and site audits. Example deliverables requested.
Preferred:
Excellent communication skills (both in conversation and in writing) and a portfolio which demonstrates strong problem-solving ability in various phases of design and delivery.
Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing for mobile and desktop customer experiences.
Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.
Experience developing detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns.
Worked within collaborative, cross-functional teams to deliver multiple, successful projects.
Experience working with Government Departments and Agencies.
