Caterpillar's Integrated Components and Solutions Division is currently seeking a Mining Technology Product Engineering Manager for Caterpillar's Underground Mining Technology products.
As the engineering manager, you will lead the technical team responsible for engineering support for the Command for Underground product lines, including new product development and product support.
This role is responsible for delivering technical outcomes in support of product innovation and maintenance.
You will manage a team of technical leads supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) and ensure the delivery of all engineering work to meet product objectives, schedules, and quality targets.
This position also involves providing technical support to customers and the Command operations team, requiring strong relationships with site operations teams and customers.
The incumbent must have strong technical and analytical skills, good communication and project management skills, and demonstrated team leadership skills, with relevant experience in Caterpillar's product development processes.
What you will do: Manage technical feasibility assessments, planning, design optimization, costs/schedule management, and project communication.
Promote partnerships with internal and external organizations.
Provide leadership and performance management to product development engineering staff.
Develop department goals for quality, reliability, and support; monitor projects to help meet goals.
Lead Product Improvement projects.
Communicate globally with customers, suppliers, and team members.
Provide guidance for product analysis and validation.
Education and Experience requirement: Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum.
Relevant Caterpillar product design or mining technology development experience.
Proven team leadership experience.
Experience executing projects requiring in-depth technical analysis.
Demonstrated problem-solving capability.
Self-directed work record.

Additional Information: Primary location: Bibra Lake (Perth), Western Australia.
This position may require 30% travel.
