Your opportunity As the technical expert and voice of our Data & Analytics technology team, lead the activities to plan, design, build, and operate the data & integration platforms, provisioning solutions at scale.
Responsibilities: Mentor and develop the DataOps & Integration engineering team fostering an environment that encourages collaboration & performance.Ensure the team has clarity around priorities and goals.Collaborate with stakeholders to help shape scope of new initiatives.Contribute to Solution architecture and technology decisions for data/integration initiatives.Manage delivery of minor enhancements and deliverables within the team.Develop & establish Engineering Standards in collaboration with Platform manager and Engineering leads.Identify and implement operational improvements on the platforms.Continuously investigate opportunities to optimise and modernise the data & integration platform architecture to enable and support strategic programs across Scentre Group.Manage vendor relationships to deliver features and uplift platform capability.Manage spend on Cloud consumption and licensing on platforms to stay within budget.What will set you apart from the rest? Strategic long-term thinking.Collaborates across teams to get things done.Drive for operational excellence and managing technology risks.Strong process, commercial AND technology acumen.Actively listen to other team members – regardless of position.Growth mindset and open to new ways of solving problems.Curious to business needs; responds with a 'can do' outlook and follows-up on delivery.Able to accept and action feedback.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Calm under pressure.Leads by example.Self manages / self-sufficient.You will have experience in: Building and leading high performing and engaging data/integration engineering teams to deliver complex solutions in large organisations.Strong understanding of technology architecture, design, development, configuration, implementation, testing, deployment and support principles.Experienced in designing, building and operating Big Data platforms and data warehouses on cloud at scale (dbt, GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, Pub/Sub, Kafka highly desirable).Experienced in design and implementation of data and integration patterns including ETL, ELT, API, Microservices and Event Streaming.Strong understanding of Data management principles and data modelling patterns.Advanced skills in Cloud data platforms and adjacent technologies. Proficient in Container technology (Kubernetes and Docker).Skilled at establishing deep relationships, stakeholder management and influencing.About us Scentre Group owns 42 Westfield destinations across Australia and New Zealand.
