You will join the Risk Data Insights and Analytics (RDIA) crew within Risk supporting our Customer Spend Analytics product. This product has the vision to use customer data to help the bank make better risk decisions. The squad regularly provides key insights to senior management including external public disclosures and Board reporting. The squad is driving innovative ways to use spending data to drive better credit decisions.

Risk Management is responsible for developing and deploying the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite.
Risk Data Insights and Analytics (formerly Transparency and Visualisation) forms part of the Group Risk Management function. RDIA uses data and analytics to transform Risk Management through automation, self-service tools, and data science. RDIA focuses on innovation with a proven track record of regularly incrementally adding new features and capabilities to already best-in-class CBA capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting into the Chapter Lead, some of the key responsibilities for the role are as follows:
Work with the Product Owner to support product development from concept to maturity and create meaningful business impact.Deliver credible and high-quality insights on business, consumers, and the economic environment, including external public disclosures and executive reporting.Design and implement code and processes to build data assets and tools.Support the squad with subject matter expertise in spend and big data analytics and embed quality assurance practices for project delivery. Strong understanding of customer spending and account data and the Australian business and economic environment.Solid hands-on experience with SQL and programming practices to perform big data analysis and transformation, with Hadoop and PySpark specific experience desirable.Data analysis and reporting skills with knowledge of analytics.Excellent stakeholder management and capable to influence business decisions.Confidence in driving problem-solving sessions with stakeholders in a structured manner.Experience with end-to-end analytic project delivery including scoping work, planning, conducting analysis and making recommendations, analytics support and/or developing presentations.Sound written and verbal communication, business partnering, teamwork and collaboration skills, and time management with multi-task skills in a fast-paced environment.Awareness of AWS cloud computing services.
