About the Role Join our dynamic team as a Senior Manager, Credit Risk Assurance!
In this pivotal role, you'll lead our Line 2 credit risk assurance function, including credit hindsight and credit risk review.
You'll work closely with senior management and various stakeholders to provide critical insights and recommendations on credit risk matters.You'll conduct comprehensive portfolio and thematic reviews to assess credit quality and identify potential risks including overseeing individual file reviews.
Your role will also involve managing credit lessons learned, reviewing individual credit events, and providing recommendations and reporting.You'll oversee the credit hindsight function, ensuring thorough reviews of individual findings and ongoing reviews of assurance frameworks and standards and management of the Asset Management Group and Hardship hindsight function.
Your reporting and analysis skills will shine as you prepare and present detailed reports on credit risk assurance outcomes and trends for senior management and the board.Engaging with stakeholders, you'll work closely with business units to understand their credit risk assessment and management processes, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
People leadership will also form a critical part of your role, where you will lead and coach a team of 4 direct reports.
About you Who are we looking for?
Ideally an individual with significant experience in credit risk management.
Your proven track record in a senior risk management role within the banking sector showcases your strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong leadership and team management abilities.Your effective communication and interpersonal skills enable you to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve common goals.
You have sound knowledge of credit policy and processes, and your meticulous attention to detail ensures thorough assessment and mitigation of credit risks.
You are capable of making informed decisions under pressure, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex situations with confidence.We are looking for someone who can lead and mentor a team of credit risk professionals, promoting a collaborative and high-performance environment.
