They provide credit assessment advice and expertise to the broader Business Solutions program and assist in the development of risk management strategies.The Securities team prepare loan and security documentation. They assist with loan settlements, including discharges as well as liaising with and instructing internal and external legal service providers and other external agents, to support IBA customers.Want to know more? Read about the stories that make up IBA here .About the roleThe primary role of the Senior Manager Credit & Settlements is to support the Director of Business Solutions in achieving the program's corporate and contractual outcomes. The Senior Manager leads the Credit and the Securities/Settlements teams in managing credit and operational risk to the program and provides expertise to the broader Business Solutions teams and other Government agencies, to support IBA customers.Successful applicant must have:Knowledge and Experience· Displays Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural capability:o Awareness and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and culture as well as the demonstrated ability to liaise, communicate and negotiate sensitivity and effectively with Indigenous individuals and communities.o Awareness and understanding of Australian Indigenous issues particularly as they relate to small business.· Demonstrable success in operational excellence, internal controls, and best practice service delivery.· Strong staff leadership capability including the ability to motivate others to deliver corporate targets.· Significant practical knowledge of legal concepts together with a strong working understanding of commercial transactions.· Highly developed ability to negotiate significant matters confidently and to communicate at a senior leadership level on a broad range of issues with persuasion, influence, clarity and to understand and adapt to an audience.· Extensive business acumen and knowledge of business concepts, small business development, financial analysis and commercial lending and the ability to discuss business needs, risks and formulation of strategies and implementation of solutions with customers and delegates.· Highly developed senior leadership capabilities:o in developing results focused and effective teams with an emphasis on quality results that benefits customers and stakeholders;o to systematically define issues, measure performance, analyse issues, design improvement, verify results.· Highly developed personal drive and integrity including:o Professionalism and probity.o Engaging with risk and showing personal courage.o Commitment to action.o Promoting and adopting a positive and balanced approach to work.o Self-awareness and commitment to personal developmentPrerequisite requirements· Experience and/or qualifications in accounting, business, business finance, or banking.· Experience and/or qualifications in business law/ commercial lending/ business management.· Experience in Leadership and/or Management.Or mail to IBA Recruitment, PO Box 650, Fyshwick ACT 2609ResumeMaximum 800 words addressing required capabilitiesReport this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
