Develop program roadmaps and recommend practical pathways for operational improvements within our Mortgage Operations business.
Preferably based in Adelaide, the Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement is responsible for driving continuous improvements in Mortgage Operations (MO).
How will I help?
With a key focus on building operational capacity in each part of our value chain, you will support key Mortgage Operations and Mortgage LoB projects from Front Door of Change to ensure appropriateness for Mortgage Operations from a risk, financial, employee and customer lens.
As an experienced people leader, you will be well placed to lead and coach 14 direct reports focused on process improvement and innovation that increases operational capacity.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Capability & Change, you will play to your strengths in building meaningful relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners to ensure project frameworks are executed whilst balancing commercial and customer needs.
Day to day, your responsibilities will include:
Coach and mentor a team of Business Analysts/Senior Business Analysts. Engage with and partner with Senior Mortgage Operation and Mortgage LoB Stakeholders to understand their vision and to define and recommend practical pathways for Continuous Improvement opportunities and programs of work. Develop program roadmaps to deliver target state solution designs, encompassing both customer and business needs. Execute pipeline of Continuous Improvement initiatives to deliver on our Strategic goals. Ensure risk (people, operations, organisational) is within desired risk appetite and that risks are managed according to agreed risk frameworks. Monitor and measure the success of solutions that have been implemented and identify opportunities to continuously improve. What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you will have significant and demonstrable experience and knowledge in the banking and finance industry, underpinned by your knowledge of consumer products and familiarity with regulatory, financial and operational risk frameworks.
Further advantageous qualities and experience includes:
Proven experience working with large scale operational transformation projects, using operational excellence/Enterprise Agile techniques (Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, Scrum etc). Strong strategic thinking, relationship building and influencing skills. Ability to lead and develop high performing teams. Experience leading complex project change initiatives and competing stakeholder interests. Significant and demonstrable experience developing and implementing operational strategy and developing the case for critical initiative funding. You'll bring project management, astute commercial acumen, and an unwavering commitment to problem solving. Sound written and verbal communication skills. What's it like to work in the team?
