THE ROLE The Senior Manager, Construction Procurement (High-rise Redevelopment) is responsible for providing leadership to the High-Rise Redevelopment Procurement team and contributing to the strategic direction of the procurement function. This role establishes capability development initiatives and fosters collaborative relationships with stakeholders to support the delivery of the Big Housing Build – High-rise Redevelopment Program, Australia's largest urban renewal project.
The Senior Manager, Construction Procurement is required to identify strategic opportunities that drive value for money outcomes for the whole of government while maintaining compliance with relevant legislative and policy obligations.
Are you: A proven procurement leader with a strong track record achieving best value for money outcomes in procurement within the construction, property development, or government infrastructure sector?An expert in government procurement legislation and requirements?Looking to apply your commercial acumen and strategic thinking to design fit-for-purpose streamlined procurement processes on Australia's largest urban renewal project?ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Engage and advise key internal stakeholders on policies, procedures, systems, and standards to enable delivery of effective, outcomes-focused procurement activities across the program within legislative and regulatory requirements, while delivering cost savings and operational efficiencies.Monitor and report on high-priority issues, risks, and trends, and prepare and present reports and briefs to various stakeholders.Overseeing, monitoring, or delivering procurement activities to ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.HOW TO APPLY All VPS employees (and ex-VPS employees with extended access to the Jobs and Skills Exchange website) MUST apply via the Jobs and Skills Exchange portal.
