Overview

Foot Locker has a great opportunity for a qualified Project Manager, Construction for our Asia Pacific (APAC) region with strong retail project management experience from feasibility to completion.
Using your sound financial acumen and retail industry experience, you will manage the effective construction of a portfolio of retail stores in conjunction with external construction and design consultants.
As a strategic thinker, you will collaborate effectively, maintaining client focus, anticipating client needs with the ability to be both proactive and reactive as circumstances dictate throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Working across functions, you will be an effective communicator and negotiator to successfully manage a variety of stakeholders ensuring projects are delivered on time, and within budget.

Note: This role requires a willingness to travel. ResponsibilitiesBusiness Performance: Assist the Senior Director in achieving key operation and financial objectives for APAC.Business/Technical Functions: Negotiate scope of works and coordinate with operations to ensure all parties are updated, including working with other internal teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Complete store defect inspections at handover and ensure payment of invoices within reasonable timeframes.Business Partnership & Advisory Services: Provide valuable operational advice to both internal and external customers, whilst also being a valuable team member.Legal Compliance: Monitor and adhere to relevant legislative compliance, licensing, insurance, ethical and corporate governance as well as industry standards for real estate and construction in APAC.Organisational Compliance: Maintain the organisation's core values – Integrity, Leadership, Excellence, Teamwork, Innovation and Community, inside and outside the organisation, as well as Foot Locker's policies and procedures to support audit compliance.Industry Monitoring/Continuous Improvement: Monitoring emerging issues and trends to recommend and improve controls, procedures and systems.QualificationsMinimum five (5) years' experience working as a Retail Project / Construction Manager.Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline – Building, Property, Project Management.Must have retail construction / project management background.Experience managing budgets.Other key skills:Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.Strong analytical skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate at all levels.Strong computer skills – Intermediate MS Excel and Project.High attention to detail.Ability to manage competing priorities in a very fast-paced environment.Extensive knowledge of commercial and retail construction and property legislation / codes / standards.Personal attributes:Determination, persistence, resilience.Proactive and flexible.Confident and self-driven.BenefitsAnnual performance-based bonus.A flexible hybrid working environment.Excellent staff discounts on Foot Locker products – Nike, Adidas, ASICS and many more!Free on-site parking.Access for you and your immediate family to our Employee Assistance Program.Free access to Wellhub (Gympass).An inclusive and supportive team culture.If this opportunity is of interest to you, click the 'Apply' button below including a cover letter addressing the 'About you' requirements as well as an up-to-date resume.
