As Senior Manager - Cloud FinOps, you will be instrumental in shaping and advancing our FinOps strategy, fostering a culture of financial accountability, and delivering impactful cost optimisation across the organisation. You will work closely with teams across the Group to drive efficient cloud usage and implement proactive cost management measures.

The Cloud Business Office is central to accelerating cloud technology adoption across the Group, a core enabler of our Technology Strategy. We drive this transformation by supporting four key areas: Cloud Pipeline Management, Governance, Enablement (Skills/Capabilities), and FinOps.
You'll interact regularly with a diverse range of stakeholders, from delivery teams (crew leads, squad leads, engineers) within federated business units to senior leaders (GM+), fostering strong relationships and ensuring a collaborative approach to financial and cloud management.

Can engage with cross-functional teams to identify, track, and implement cost optimisation recommendations for both new and existing workloads.
Can communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, translating complex financial insights into clear, actionable guidance that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Can lead and develop our FinOps strategy and actionable plans to drive financial transparency and accountability across the Group.
Can support the maturity of FinOps practices within DevSecOps teams, enhancing efficiency and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Can provide regular reporting on opportunities and achievements to senior leadership, ensuring alignment and visibility across business units.
Tech skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team:
Build and sustain subject matter expertise in the commercial framework that the Bank is operating in for cloud services provided by partners (i.e. develop a deep understanding of the contract, investment credit pools, milestones, attestation, etc.).
Build and sustain subject matter expertise in industry frameworks that prescribe best practices, guidelines and methodologies for cost optimisation and efficient use of public cloud resources.
Expertise in pragmatic ways to identify, prioritise and execute initiatives that drive cost optimisation benefits across the Group.
Manage, inspire, motivate and give direction to the team providing visible leadership.
Manage all aspects from set up through to the delivery of the new capabilities and realisation of benefits.
Effectively engage with and manage multiple stakeholder relationships with Senior Leaders, vendors and third-party suppliers including multi-vendor programs. Resolves and manages any conflicts as they arise.
Facilitate quality decision making, constructively challenge to achieve program or project outcomes.
Manage backlog of work and track progress, including reports on benefits realisation.
Assist the Business Owner and Sponsor in the assessment and development of the teams target outcomes; benefits and the underlying realisation plan, including identification of any benefit dependencies.
Lead the development of mitigation strategies to manage interdependencies and to mitigate key risks, to ensure successful delivery.
Manage organisational change requirements in partnership with OCM to ensure new capabilities are embedded and outcomes achieved.
