The Role The Senior Manager, Client Engagement will manage a team of eleven (11) Regional Area Managers and two (2) regionally based support staff. Each Manager is responsible for a region within Queensland whereby they are out in the field meeting with primary producers as well as industry, professional and government allies to promote and assist with applications for various grants and loans administered by QRIDA.
The role also oversees the Client Service Team of four (4) staff which are responsible for managing QRIDA's Free call 1800 telephone number and Contact Us email inbox.
Reporting to the Chief Engagement Officer you will: Lead the Client Engagement unit through planning and managing the strategic and operational delivery of QRIDA's regional and client services.Develop strategies and initiatives aimed at increasing client and stakeholder awareness of QRIDA's capability and the uptake of its programs and services.Oversee the management of the Regional Area Manager (RAM) and Client Services Team including projects, reporting and budgeting against operational and strategic plans.Lead effective engagement processes with government, professional and industry stakeholders.Provide effective leadership and management of the Client Engagement unit by developing strategic and operational plans and KPIs with Regional Area Managers for each region across the state.Ensure effective support for the Regional Area Managers regarding communications, regional planning and timely delivery of services, as well as oversee QRIDA representation at trade shows, conferences and other relevant industry community events.Provide strong leadership in mentoring, coaching, development and performance management of staff to ensure a motivated, committed, high quality and results driven team.Key Selection Criteria Candidates will be assessed based on their relevant capability and capacity for the following selection criteria, which link directly back to the key responsibilities for the role.
SC1 Demonstrated ability to provide effective strategic and operational leadership, performance management and professional development of a business unit.SC2 Demonstrated ability to lead the promotion of agency programs through the development, implementation, and management of client engagement and service delivery strategies and initiatives which deliver effective and consistent client service.SC3 Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication and consultation skills, including the ability to liaise and negotiate with clients and internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic and operational outcomes.SC4 Direct experience in leading the delivery of client services and programs of financial assistance to rural and regional Queensland, particularly primary producers and small businesses.The Person We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following:
Experience in leading and managing teams, ideally in a rural finance environment, with great people skills in developing a strong team culture, mentoring and bringing people along to reach goals.Proven marketing and/or communications experience, ideally in a rural finance environment.Prior experience in a banking/lending role will be highly regarded.Although not mandatory, relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, business, marketing, commerce or similar would be highly regarded.A proactive and strategic approach to managing relationships with different stakeholders.Strong organisational and project management skills, ability to effectively manage multiple priorities through to completion.Rural and/or regional experience, with the ability to travel within Qld on a regular basis.This is a rare leadership position with a strong, effective and committed organisation with a true commitment to the sustainability of Queensland's rural and regional communities.
The position is based in Brisbane and will require regular travel within the State to support the regional team.
