About Our Client Page Executive is excited to be partnering with a leader in the Education sector to recruit their Senior Manager, Business Resilience and Critical Incidents. The Senior Manager, Business Resilience and Critical Incidents will be tasked with leading the strategic development, implementation, ongoing management, and improvement of Business Resilience capability to position the organisation to identify emerging risks, effectively adapt, respond, and recover from adverse events.
Job Description Reporting to the CISO, the Senior Manager, Business Resilience and Critical Incidents will be responsible for:
Leading the further development and implementation of a Business Resilience Framework in partnership with relevant business owners. Leading the delivery of fit-for-purpose business resilience management systems. Leading the design, development, and delivery of education, training, information, and scenarios including simulation activities and processes to monitor and critically review organisational capability to ensure ongoing maturity. Providing strategic advice and recommendations to executive management. Developing and fostering strategically important relationships with key externals such as emergency services, regulatory and government agencies. As Crisis Management Team strategic and operational lead, ensuring strategic response is undertaken in conjunction with operational first-line response to an emergency or adverse event. As a key member of the CISO leadership team, undertaking and leading related projects and initiatives for continuous improvement. Reviewing and maintaining disaster recovery practices and documentation and relevant templates. Designing, implementing, and managing a schedule of disaster recovery exercises. Leading and managing Disaster Recovery Board meetings. The Successful Applicant As the successful applicant, you will ideally possess:
Significant experience in a similar business resilience leadership role (including implementation of framework, strategies, and managing business resilience related risks). Significant leadership experience supporting and advising senior executive teams in strategic planning, business continuity, and/or risk management with proven planning, organisational, and analytical skills. Demonstrated practical experience in leading critical incident/crisis management function including the effective coordination and mobilisation of teams during and post-event. A high level of interpersonal, cross-cultural, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate effectively and work through challenges.
