You're passionate about being part of a team that delivers impactful health and safety outcomes so that everyone goes home safely every day.In this role, you'll:Lead a team of workforce strategy, training and safety professionals within the Bus Transformation branch of the Coordinator General division.Be a key contributor to the development and implementation of the recommendations by the NSW Bus Industry Taskforce, leading the enhancement of bus industry standards, competencies, and safety across the NSW bus network.Work with leaders across Transport and externally to lead the delivery of a new workforce strategy for the bus industry to support a sustainable and professional workforce that can deliver bus services now and into the future.Collaborate with internal teams and build relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders in the wider Transport organisation, as well as external stakeholders such as education authorities, unions and industry contacts.This is a fixed term full time position until September 2026 in a hybrid working model with flexibility to work in our Elizabeth Street office in Sydney CBD as well as spending time in Sydney or regional areas as appropriate.About youYou have extensive professional experience in workforce strategy and a proven track record in successfully managing relationships with unions and industry stakeholders within a public agency or similar complex large organisation.You are also very familiar with interagency collaboration and build and manage relationships easily.
You're recognised as a person who works with a high degree of autonomy, makes tough decisions, calls out risks and can lead a group of highly skilled/specialised individuals.You have a tertiary qualification in law, industrial relations, or another relevant discipline, combined with demonstrated relevant and equivalent professional experience.Who we areTransport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
