About the Role Managing audit engagements which include initial engagement planning, analysis of controls and processes, preparation and review of audit documentations and management letters and reports and monitoring of engagement progress against budget and timeline. Ensuring engagement compliance with audit, accounting, ethical standards, legislation, and BDO policies. Critically assess and enhance audit planning documentation for complex engagements. Timely sign-off on all reporting and demonstrate ability to write complex client documents, including technical accounting matters. Elevating BDO's profile through marketing channels like seminars, webinars, newsletters, and social media. Ensuring compliance with BDO independence, client acceptance, and continuance policies, and attend to risk management and quality control procedures. Developing and maintaining long-term client relationship and identifying business development opportunities. Coaching and developing team members to achieve technical competencies and efficient performance. Review working papers, audit queries, correspondence and reports prepared by the team to ensure compliance with audit plan, procedures and appropriate quality of work. About You 7+ years of auditing experience. CA/CPA qualified or equivalent. Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and multitasking skills. Significant experience of delivering audit and other assurance services to clients in a range of sectors, including ASX listed companies. Excellent working knowledge of Australian and International GAAS, IFRS and Financial Reporting requirements. Business development experience - able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work. Proven experience in managing a wide portfolio of concurrent projects and project teams in a project management framework. Managing and monitoring audit engagement economics. Previous experience in supporting and managing a team. *Negotiable salary based on relevant experience, starting from $145,000 (inclusive of super). Why BDO?
