What role will you play?
Your focus will include advising on appropriate accounting treatments for proposed transactions in accordance with your business unit-aligned and/or subject matter expert aligned focus areas. You will have the opportunity to develop and maintain the Group's accounting policies and frameworks in specific subject matter expert areas and support the Group in understanding and implementation of accounting standard changes.
You will partner with your aligned stakeholders to provide advice on the correct AASB / IFRS accounting treatment for a wide range of complex and unique transactions and across various projects.
What you offer
Tertiary degree in business or commerce and relevant accounting certification (CA/CPA)
Extensive experience within a technical accounting role
Experience in interpreting and advising on impacts of changes in standards to the business
Strong communication and problem solving skills as well as attention to detail
Demonstrated people leader experience and a natural collaborator who can initiate and lead conversations with business leaders regarding anticipated and emerging opportunities
