6-Month Contract (Immediate Start) Sydney CBD (Hybrid Opportunity) $500- $600 daily rate package About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Management Accountant for a 6-month contract within a leading banking organisation. The successful candidate will bring extensive expertise in the banking sector, strong financial acumen, and a proven track record in delivering robust management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and deliver timely, accurate reports while adhering to strict deadlines. Critically evaluate and validate data inputs, outputs, and ensure consistency in key business drivers across multiple departments. Proactively work to optimise and innovate data models, reporting processes, and systems for enhanced efficiency. Lead change initiatives with a focus on effective stakeholder engagement, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption. Provide more than just financial results - offer strategic guidance and insights to help manage the bank's income and expense objectives. Analyse and translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations that support decision-making and drive business performance. Provide support for regulatory and statutory reporting as needed. Collaborate with the finance and senior leadership teams to ensure compliance with internal and external accounting standards. Key Requirements: Minimum 5-6 years of experience in retail banking. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CA or CPA qualification preferred. Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
