THIS POSITION IS BASED IN FREMANTLE(COMMUTING TO ROTTNEST ISLAND AS REQUIRED)APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION CLOSE AT MIDDAY ON WEDNESDAY, 27 NOVEMBER 2024Job DescriptionThe Senior Management Accountant assists in the development and implementation of the budget framework and management accounting services in accordance with government policy, legislation and accounting standards and proactively engages with the business units in providing financial analysis and high-level specialist advice in relation to budgeting and resource allocation to support the business. The position ensures the accurate monitoring and reporting of financial and operational performance.Selection CriteriaApplicants should address the following essential criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total. Desirable criteria will be assessed as required.Demonstrated experience in the preparation of internal and external reporting including monthly and annual financial statements, management accounts, Board reporting and State government reporting (including SIMS).Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, including computer literacy and advanced user skills in Excel.Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to create positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.Applies and promotes the principles of equity, diversity and work health and safety in the workplace.Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification and eligibility for membership to an Australian professional accounting body. (Desirable)Demonstrated experience in Activity Based Costing analysis and reporting within a Microsoft Power Query environment.
