We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance division.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this pivotal role is responsible for providing superior accounting and reporting services to meet Hardie Grant Publishing's business planning, operating and reporting requirements, and work with internal stakeholders to guide effective budgeting, forecasting, and decision making.
The delivery of accurate and timely financial insights and analysis is an essential component of the position.
Responsibilities will includeLiaising with publishing leads and finance manager to prepare the monthly management accounts for Hardie Grant Publishing AU, Hardie Grant Explore, Ultimo Press and Imports.Lead, mentor and manage (1) direct report, ensuring a collaborative and supportive work environment.Prepare and present monthly results for Hardie Grant Publishing AU in management meetings.Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasts, annual income tax schedules and lodgment of BAS returns.Act as the main point of contact with external auditors and respond to audit queries.Preparation of consignment and stock management reporting.Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and effective forecasting and financial reporting.Preparing Board and Audit & Risk Committee papers.Analysing financial information to provide insights to support decision-making.Supporting continuous improvement across the financial planning cycle.About you:Our ideal candidate is a skilled senior management accountant with:
Approx.
five years' experience derived from Consultancy and in-house environments.CA or CPA qualifications.An excellent understanding and knowledge of month-end accounting including general ledger and balance sheet management.Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and a high attention to detail.A positive attitude and problem-solving skills.Previous experience at a senior financial management level, clear and confident communication skills and the ability to "think outside the box" will be key to your success, as is your demonstrated ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
