The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

This is a full time, ongoing role based in our Melbourne or Brisbane, working a hybrid arrangement. Our Senior Management Accountant seeks to provide strong value to all stakeholders supported by high-quality management information. The focus of the role is to support the team in preparing and analysing financial information, promote the standardisation of activities and drive efficiencies in all areas of responsibility. A strong focus on continuous improvement is vital. You will collaborate with the finance team and the broader business to obtain a deep understanding of financial drivers combined with complex analyses to provide insight and inform decision making.
In this role you will: Provide management accounting support to Financial Reporting and Analysis team and the broader organisation.Ensure quality data and information is created and utilised.Undertake some month end accounting and reporting processes, including the development of complex journals, review/analysis of financial results and other month end activities.Develop accurate budgets and ongoing financial forecasts (and associated data).Prepare and deliver reports to stakeholders within the organisation and to National Boards.Actively participate and drive continuous improvement efforts.About You You will be an experienced accountant who has worked in end-to-end financial activities. An exceptional communicator, one who can converse with a range of stakeholders and explain and influence complicated financial information in a way that helps facilitate informed decision making.
