About the Role: We are currently seeking a Senior Maintenance Supervisor on a 5:2 roster to join our Wilpinjong Mine. Located 58 kilometres northeast of the historical charm of Mudgee, our open-cut mine produces high-quality thermal coal for both export and domestic markets.
As a Senior Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in engaging the team, setting standards, and driving the crew to safely achieve high levels of plant availability and reliability. This role is ideal for those seeking respect and autonomy while having accessible Maintenance Superintendent support. You will manage all planned, breakdown, and repair maintenance activities and communicate changes impacting mine priorities. You will be part of a dynamic team culture contributing to the mine's successful performance.
Key Responsibilities: Safety: Promote and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and Wilpinjong policies, maintain a safe work environment, conduct hazard reports, and ensure timely closure of actions.Customer Focus: Maintain high standards of equipment safety, productivity, and reliability, liaise with Technical Services and Production Supervisors, and minimize production downtime.Leadership: Ensure thorough shift handovers, manage maintenance personnel and contractors, communicate effectively, participate in site meetings, and coordinate Pre-Start meetings.People: Ensure maintenance personnel have adequate skills, manage leave effectively, and participate in recruitment.Excellence: Achieve plant availability targets, engage in maintenance planning and scheduling, manage work orders in CMMS, and enforce housekeeping standards.Integrity: Develop cost reduction strategies, maintain schedule compliance, and ensure adherence to site standards.Sustainability: Undertake project work, participate in continuous improvement, ensure compliance with environmental policies, and follow up on environmental incidents.The Lifestyle: This position is offered on a Monday to Friday roster allowing for a residential lifestyle in Mudgee or nearby towns.
