The role The Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility (AMRF) team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Machinist as part of the Manufacturing Development technical team to deliver solutions for industry through the expert operation and maintenance of a range of advanced precision machining equipment. This includes interpreting technical drawings, programming CNC machines, setting up and operating manual and automated machining tools, and conducting quality checks to ensure precision and accuracy. For more information read the full Role Description: Senior Machinist What you will bring to the role Demonstrable experience delivering high-quality design engineering projects compliant with project objectives, quality and customer expectations, safety and environmental standards, time, budget and resource constraints. Hands on experience working with precision machining, programming offline and on controllers, the science and best practices of metal cutting, and awareness of additive manufacturing in an industrial setting. Working knowledge and understanding of interpreting and creating technical drawings per ASME Y14.5 or AS1100 What is an essential requirement: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, or related disciplines, or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant professional experience and training.
