What you'd be doing in this role Research, develop and deploy AI based solutions to automate review of Canva library contentWork with diverse stakeholders to guide the technical vision while being responsible for break-down and delivery of large projectsDesign, develop and deploy solutions and hands-on software development – working closely with leads, designers, and product managersFoster an impactful and healthy team via a healthy code review culture, knowledge sharing, design showcases, and process improvementsPromote a safe and healthy culture with a focus on collaboration and open communication while advocating for engineering needs to non-technical stakeholders within the groupStay updated on industry trends and best practices to innovate and improve the domain owned by the team.(optional) Lead and coach a motivated machine-learning and backend team and guide members of the team on technical approaches.You're probably a match if You have 5 years of industry experience in the machine learning/software engineering role with a Product/SaaS company, visual AI experience preferred.You have a keen interest or prior experience in content-related machine learning projects, such as image, video and audio understanding, is highly desirable.Experience working cross-functionally with Product Managers and other business functions outside of engineering.Have experience proposing automation initiatives with humans-in-the-loop and seeing things through end-to-end.(optional) Experience leading a team of engineers building high-performing and collaborative teams, especially leading machine learning projects.(optional) Experience owning and operating services with a healthy balance of delivery leadership, people leadership, and technical skills.About the team Join the innovation powerhouse - Content Machine Learning team at Canva!
