With growth of this magnitude comes opportunity and now is an opportune time to join the team.Your New RoleYou will spearhead innovation and design excellence across transmission and distribution line design projects, both overhead and underground. You will ensure the delivery of high-calibre design solutions and play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Key responsibilities will include:Providing design and assurance expertise across a diverse range of greenfield and brownfield mains design projectsDriving process and continuous improvement initiatives, particularly looking at design flows and processes and how these can be undertaken more effectivelyActively mentoring and developing other members of the design teamProducing technical designs across multiple disciplines, leveraging both advanced problem-solving skills and commercial awarenessDeveloping solutions that achieve a balance between competing priorities, maintaining a focus on cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction.The role will provide long-term career growth opportunities and support ongoing professional development. You can undertake the role in a hybrid capacity if that's preferred, with a minimum of three days in one of their Western Sydney offices.About YouYou will be an ambitious design engineer who thrives on being challenged and doing things differently, with an electrical, structural, civil or mechanical engineering background. You will have demonstrated line design experience, either in transmission or distribution (ideally including 132kv). Experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE, AutoCAD and Neara would be great. This isn't a "back office" design role, so the ability to effectively engage not only with your team but also broader stakeholders across the organisation will be important.
