Your new careerWe are seeking two Senior Lifeguards to join the team at Winchelsea Pool over the warmer summer months (January 2025 – April 2025).
What you will bring to the roleAs a Senior Lifeguard at the Winchelsea Pool, you will help provide a safe and welcoming environment for your staff and the community. You will be patient, friendly and engaging to keep pool users informed and safe at all times.
To be successful in this role you will have: A working knowledge of pool operations.Ability to manage and roster staff.Ability to deal professionally in testing forward-facing scenarios.Key selection criteria
Mandatory qualifications, experience and requirementsPool lifeguard certification.Level three (senior) first aid qualification.Pool plant operator's certificate.Demonstrated ability to monitor and maintain the operation of a swimming pool, swimming pool plant and equipment.Demonstrated ability to understand and apply regulations, policies, guidelines and local laws relating to the safe overall operation of an aquatic facility.Sound knowledge of water chemistry and current legislation, regulations and recommended practices relating to the operation of aquatic facilities and pool plant systems.Demonstrated ability to make judgements on safety hazards and emergencies when responsible for the centre and consult with a supervisor where further action or involvement of others is required.Demonstrated experience in effectively supervising and providing leadership to a team.Effective organisational time management abilities in order to achieve the goals of the facility.A current Working With Children Check.The permanent right to live and work in Australia.Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council).
