Senior Licensing Officer, Justice and Attorney-General Department of Justice & Attorney General QLD – Brisbane QLD Join the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR), Harm Prevention and Regulation, as a Senior Licensing Officer, where you'll play a critical role in balancing public need, harm minimisation, and industry development. You will supervise and support a team delivering responsive licensing services within Queensland's liquor and gaming sectors. You'll manage complex applications and coordinate a small group of Licensing Officers to deliver positive outcomes for Queensland businesses and the community. You will contribute by: Providing support to the Licensing Managers. Assisting to lead a team to achieve flexible, streamlined and efficient licensing services. To successfully undertake this role, you will need to have a strong customer focus, the ability to work under pressure, and be highly motivated and focused on delivering outcomes. Your key responsibilities: Leading, developing and mentoring AO2 - AO4 level staff within a team to meet work outcomes, including the achievement and improvement of performance indicators. Liaising with and providing advice to industry, community groups, legal representatives and government agencies, including interstate and overseas regulators. Rapidly developing detailed knowledge of processes, workflows and regulatory practices, with the ability to interpret and apply legislation. Reading and comprehending technical or legal documents. Contributing to workplace equity, diversity and inclusion that enriches our culture of respect and inclusion. Working on multiple projects simultaneously and adjusting priorities quickly as circumstances dictate. Establishing and maintaining working relationships with team and internal and external stakeholders. Evaluating performance of team members. Assessing and providing guidance to staff in relation to complex applications and regulatory matters captured under the legislation administered by OLGR.
