We currently have a Level 6 Senior Legislation Officer position available until the 16 June 2025 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
About the Role This position is part of the Policy and Legislation team where the successful applicant will research complex legal issues, prepare detailed submissions, reports, and recommendations on changes to current legislation, provide instruction during the drafting of changes to legislation, and outline the impact on Department procedures.
Applicants eligible to hold a legal practice certificate are encouraged to apply for the position.
DFES will cover the cost of the application or renewal of your legal practicing certificate.
Eligibility To Apply
You must be an Australian Citizen or hold permanent residency to be considered for permanent appointments or hold a working visa covering the term of the contract (proof must be provided with your application) to be eligible for this position.
