We are looking for a dedicated Senior Legal Assistant to join our team.Job SummaryWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to provide essential administrative and legal support to the Principal of our firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client files, preparing documents, and ensuring that day-to-day office operations run smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to advance their legal career in a supportive and collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and draft legal documents such as letters, contracts, claim forms and court forms.Manage and organise client files and legal documents in both paper and digital formats.Assist lawyers with trial preparation, including preparing bundles, exhibits, and briefs.Liaise with clients, courts, and other parties involved in legal matters.Handle incoming correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and general inquiries.Maintain and update case management systems and ensure compliance with deadlines.Assist in preparing invoices, tracking time, and managing billing matters.Manage scheduling, appointments, and meetings for the Principal.Provide general administrative support as required, including filing, photocopying, and scanning.Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary (or relevant experience).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.High level of professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive matters.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team and independently.Punctuality and a friendly attitude.Proficiency in computer skills- LEAP would be an advantage.Preferred Skills:Experience in Plaintiff Personal Injuries, Wills and estate administration, Family Law and General Litigation.Experience with e-filing and court submission systems would be an advantage.What We Offer:A supportive and friendly team environment.Flexible working arrangements (subject to role requirements).
