About Us: Integrity Policy and Performance (IPP) is a business unit within the Integrity, Regulation and Legal Services group of the Department of Justice and Community Safety.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team in a high-profile area of government.
About the Role: The Senior Legal Policy Officer will work across the legal profession regulation and First Law Officer workstreams.
They will provide authoritative legal policy advice on the exercise of the Attorney-General's First Law Officer functions and opportunities for regulatory reform within the Legal Profession Uniform Law scheme.
Key Responsibilities: Providing authoritative advice to the Attorney-General and departmental executives on operational issues affecting Victorian integrity agencies.Identifying, developing, and implementing legal policy proposals and legislative reform.Managing designated projects, undertaking research, and developing evidence-based policy proposals.Stakeholder engagement and strong interpersonal collaboration skills are essential in this role.
About You: As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
