Industrial Relations & Employment Law (Legal) Full time Salary: $4,244.62 to $4,754.21 per fortnight (Level 8)

About the Department The Senior Legal Officer is part of the Executive Services Directorate and plays an integral part in delivering on the outcomes of Council's 2021-2026 Corporate Plan and related strategies. This role provides legal support to Council and the elected members across a broad range of legal matters.
Term: Full-time
Hours of Work: 72.5 hours per fortnight
Employment Base: Warwick or Stanthorpe, Queensland (will be negotiated with successful candidate)
What You Will Do Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Provide timely legal advice and support to internal stakeholders and Elected Members on legal and governance matters. Undertake complex legal research and analysis. Management of legal disputes, including representing the organisation in discussions and negotiations. Act as the first point of contact for Conflict of Interest declarations. Ability to apply legal principles and provide legal advice. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. High level of confidentiality and ethical decision-making.
