The Opportunity: We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel/Legal Counsel to work closely with the General Counsel and Company Secretary to manage legal activities to protect Lynas' interests and to ensure effective legal and company secretarial support to the Lynas Board.
Tasks & Responsibilities: Ensure effective and open relationships with internal Lynas stakeholders.Advise on, draft and support negotiation of commercial contracts and other agreementsProvide commercially focussed legal advice to the Lynas business in a wide range of mattersAssisting the company secretary in managing Company sec duties.Work in accordance with best practice in corporate governance including and of development and maintenance of policies and procedures.Advising on legal and regulatory developments, legal risks, compliance-related matters and industry developments.Able to represent the Company in a professional manner.Provide input, improvements, and ideas to continuously improve Lynas Rare Earths.Demonstrate personal commitment to safety through behaviours. Identify, report and resolve any HSEQ issues.Skills and experience required for this role: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Law.5 to 10 years PQEPrevious experience in a similar role is preferably in mining or related industry.Be proactive and actively contribute to continuous quality improvement of the business.We invite women and applicants with diverse backgrounds to apply, particularly persons of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.
