As a result of a number of successful acquisitions and continued growth, our client has created an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their legal team at the headquarters in Melbourne.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Offering expert legal advice on corporate and commercial matters to support business growth.Managing legal risks and ensuring compliance across various jurisdictions (APAC, EMEA, and USA).Providing governance and board support as required.Collaborating with external counsel, regulators, and third parties as needed.Supporting business projects, including M&A, and advising on a range of corporate transactions.To be successful in this role, you will possess the following attributes:
Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent, admitted (or eligible) to practice law in Australia.A minimum of 8 years PQE in a reputable law firm or in-house legal team; in-house experience will be viewed favorably, with secondment experience as a minimum requirement.Strong corporate/commercial experience, with exposure to a listed company or large, complex organization.Experience in consumer goods/FMCG, manufacturing, and/or supply chain-related businesses is a plus.M&A transaction experience will be beneficial, however, is not mandatory.Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.Strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to advise at a senior level.A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with strong communication and negotiation skills.Experience in governance, competition and consumer law, and/or regulatory matters is highly desirable.This is an outstanding opportunity to join a leading consumer goods organization and provide high-impact legal support to help shape its future.
